I love, love, LOVE Ralph Waldo Emerson. His words are beautiful. This is my favorite quote from him:
"A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer."
Isn't that cool? Kinda reminds me to always stick it out to the end. Keep enduring an all that jazz.

30 Day Challenge-Favorite Book
I've been pretty darn excited for this one! I love books! I think I love books even more than I love tv programs:)
Favorite of All Time:
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
To all of those people that just watched the movie and figured that it was as awesome as it could get, shame on you. The movie doesn't even scratch the surface! Ya know how most of the movie shows Edmond learning things in prison and using the last 30 minutes of screen time to get his revenge? Well the book doesn't. His revenge is soooo much more than that! It is incredible! Genius even:) Read it-please?
New Favorite:
Juliet by Anne Fortier
I was swept away. This book is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. Nothing even questionable in it:)
Read a million times and never get tired:
Servant of the Bones by Anne Rice
Confession time here-I have always loved Anne Rice novels. I think I was the only kid that read Interview with a Vampire before I hit puberty. They are for a bit more mature/dark audience, but she is just so good! Very frightening, horrible and a bit innappropriate, but seriously good. And this novel is no exception. When it says it is a horror novel, they pretty much mean it. This guy is melted into gold while evil priests say incantations over him and everything is sucked into his bones. Hence, Servant of the Bones. It is terrible and awesome. Wow. I probably don't recommend this book, but I do love it.

My Favorite Television Program
Well if you couldn't tell that I love movies from the previous post, I'll bet you never guess how I feel about t.v.! It would be easier for me to list the television shows that I hate. Seriously. I enjoy just about everything. So I am tweeking this one-I really am going to tell you a few things on television that I abolutely HATE!
Here goes:
American Idol-I think it runs every night for at least 2 hours. Barf.
Everybody Loves Raymond-I'm getting sick of the reruns....and the reruns of the reruns.
All of those "Loosing Weight Shows"-I use to like them, but they kind of cut into my own exercising time. Bit ironic, don't ya think?
Malcolm in the Middle-Sometimes when I fall asleep with the t.v. on I will be woken up at 12:30 am because of the ridiculously annoying theme song and stupid Frankie Muniz girl-screaming into the camera. Makes me want to put a rock through his face. Oops! I mean the television screen!
Awkward shows that the CW shows on Sunday-A few weeks ago, Ryan and I came home from church, got lunch started, turned the tv on and what is on the box? Freaking Sin City! And a partially naked lady. This show should only be on HBO. We were so shocked! We now steer really clear of channel 30 on Sunday.
Mr. Sunshine-Haven't even seen it. The commercials were just so darn annoying that I hated it even before it started. And they were everywhere! In my magazines! On the tv! On the RADIO! I think they shot themselves in the foot while over-advertising for this one.
and finally:
Presidential Addresses-I really don't mind that they show these on tv, and I actually quite like listening to Obama speak (please don't stone me! He is just a very good speaker! And I kinda get emotional when politicians say nice things:) Even if they don't mean them or if they do mean them, they really can't do anything. Like the kid running for Student Body President that promises new vending machines and longer lunch hours:) Here is the thing that I really have a problem with: Ryan and I choose to only have the free digital channels in our house plus netflix. So, when a presidential address comes on, it WIPES OUT MY ENTIRE EVENING!!! I want choices people! If I want to listen to the President, I will turn to that channel. If I want to watch something else, I WANT SOMETHING ELSE TO BE ON! Stop hijaking all my channels. Thank-you.
And that is about it. I'm sure there are others, but as previously mentioned, I only have limited channel options and therefore, limited amounts of shows to hate.
Condensed list of shows I love: (Big gasp of air....)Hawaii Five-O, Castle, The Bachelor (and all branch-offs), Glee, Lie to Me, Human Target, 90210, NCIS:Los Angeles, CSI, CSI:NY, CSI:Miami, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, One Tree Hill, Vampire Diaries, Nikita, Off the Map, Leverage, What Not to Wear, House Hunters, Bones, The Mentalist, etc., etc., etc...
I am just so easily entertained! I can watch just about anything and love it.
Give me anything with a little romance, a little mystery, a makeover, a crime, some funny laughs, fighting, or a music number and I am on board!

30 Day Challenge-Favorite Movie(s)
Favorite Movie(s)
1-The Saint
Val Kilmer playing multiple con artists. He is just so awesome!
2-Serenity
Watch the Firefly series first. Then finish up with the movie. So fun!
3-Stardust
Such a random cool story line! Falling stars, witches, castles, goats, pirates. This is like an updated Princess Bride! Incredible cast too. Robert De Niro (my favorite!), Claire Danes, Michelle Pfieffer, Sienna Miller, Ben Barnes and Charlie Cox.
4-Million Dollar Baby
This is one of those incredible shows that you can only watch once. It is that good. I saw it, was stunned and instantly fell in love, bought it, and I have never been able to watch it since. It is too incredible to see twice.
5-How to Train Your Dragon
I cried. Nuff said.
6-Madagascar 2: Out of Africa
BEST SHOW EVER!!! Limitless quotes that never run out of funny:)
(Don't worry....I'm thinking I will stop around 10 movies. This won't be my top 100! Ha!)
7- The A-Team
At the end, I was like having an adreneline junky moment. I was so pumped!
8- Beauty and the Beast
I think I watched this show just shy of 10,000 times when I was little:)
9- Lord of the Rings Trilogy
My nerdy moment!
10- Encino Man
Haven't seen this little jem? Rent it. Now. I'm not weird, I'm a unique weasel. tututututu.

30 Day Challenge-Day 1
FAVORITE SONG
I love these kinds of questions. I always feel unsettled. What if I answer wrong? What if I say one song and then I remember a different song that I like more? So stressful! That being said, I think I will tell a few of my favorite songs and why I like them so much.
The Back of Your Hand by Dwight Yoakam
such a gorgeous song about a couple that has been together for so long that she starts to question who he is anymore.
Mendicino County Line by Allison Krauss and Willie Nelson
I have no idea what this song is about but it is such a good duet!
Colder Weather by The Zac Brown Band
This one is sad. This guy leaves behind a girl that loves him.
It seems that I enjoy kinda sad songs. They are just so beautiful!
