Work Craziness....

So things are turning pretty crazy at work. I am currently employed at the Uintah Basin Applied Technology College. It is the best place to work! They are so good to their employees! Anyways....so I was hired on last year as a part time assistant. When a full time position opened up I was put into it. I understood that my job duties would be to order books for the bookstore, keep track of all things high school (enrollments, rolls, meetings, etc.) do all the same with the classes at the jail, and top it all off by working at the front desk. It was the perfect workload. I loved it.
Well....a about 6 months ago the guy that ran our testing center/finacial aid office was unexpectedly absent and he had people scheduled to come in and do testing. Because I had worked in the testing center before (as an assistant to the Career Councelor) they had me come down and test people. At the end of the day my boss asked me how it went and I said, "Good. It was just a little boring since testing was all I was doing. It would have been nice to have my computer down there to do my other work while I waited for people to finish."

BAM!

Before I knew it, I had a new job. The other guy was so flaky that they gave me the job of running the testing center. I still had all my previous job duties (minus the front desk) plus running the testing center. It was huge. I love working with people and helping them get into school. It is a very fun career. Don't get me wrong-it is a ton of work, but I really like it.
Well, things have recently changed. The guy that was doing the testing center/financial aid office (before I took over the testing center) has started to gripe and complain about being overwhelmed (with his one piddling job). So guess what? They have taken some of his financial aid duties and given them to me!
I now am completely in charge of the financial aid for our medical programs, all the high school stuff, all the jail stuff, and the testing center! They have consolidated almost 3 peoples jobs down to just me! I think I am going to go crazy!

Did I mention that my hair salon is getting really busy? I do hair almost every night until 8 or 9 o'clock right after I get of work. I absolutely love it!

So the moral of this story is that I am hard at it. Working every night from sun up to sun down.

And I only have 3 complaints:
1-I wish the technology college paid me more. If I am doing the work of 3, couldn't they at least pay me for 2 people and still save money? ha ha!
2-I miss watching all my favorite shows during the week...that is the only downside of doing hair in the evening. Although, it gives me something to do on the weekends:)
3-My hair salon is still located up at my parents house. I love that they let me do this, but that is a really long drive to do hair! I wish that Ryan and I owned a house that I could just put a salon in....oh well. Maybe in a year or two.
